DX Results


Dear Contesters,

it is a great pleasure to present you the DX Results of the ARI International DX Contest 2020.

This year, due to social restrictions due to Coronavirus, participation was great! Overall 2145 log has been received (compared to 1296 of last year with an increase of 65%), divided between 1552 DX logs  and 593 Italian logs. Unfortunately condition were once again between bad and overall this year, while the only usable bands for DX QSOs were 20m and 40m, 15m shows some good EU-EU opening and low bands were also in good shape.

The SWL log received were 25, divided in 15 logs from DX site and 10 Italians.

In the following pages you will find the overall results by Contest Categories and then, the same results, by Country and Categories to make it easier to see what your result has been against the rest of the world or within your own country.

Now let’s have a look at the results.

This year  multi-op categories were not allowed.

In the Single-Operator CW HP category Milen LZ5R (op: LZ5DB) takes the first place and set a new category record with almost 2100 QSOs, while Christo LZ3FN finishes second and Teijo OG6N (op: OH6NIO) third. In the SO CW LP the first place goes to Sergey P3AA, with a new category record¸ just behind the second place has been taken by Alexey UR3GU and third place goes to Vladimir EU8U.

In the Single-Operator Mixed HP category Victor UW1M put more than 2000 QSOs to take the first position; the second place goes to Bernd DL6FBL and Igor RU3A finishes on third one. In the SO MIX LP, Vladimir RA3Y wins the first place, while Chaly UR2Y (op: US0YW) takes the second place while Igor UA4FER finishes in the third place.

ARI International DX Contest 2020 - Logs Received

In the SO RTTY HP category Atanas LZ9R (op: LZ3YY) takes the first place beating the last year winner Nick, EM0I (op UT2IZ) in second place, while Vlad UA6CE gets the third. In the SO RTTY LP Pavlo, UX1VT, wins and places a new category record, while Vladimir, UZ1WW, gains a position with respect to last year and finishes second and Nick, UT5EPP, finishes on the third position.

In the Single-Operator SSB section Sergey, RW1F, confirms last year win; Marius YP0C (op: YO3CZW) finishes in second place and Andrea HB9NE (op: HB9DUR) gets the third position. In the Single Operator SSB Low Power category, Andrew RZ3Z takes the first place, Alexander UT1AN takes the second place and Theodoros SV1EJD, last year winner, finishes in third place;

In the SWL category, Rafal SP7-003-24 confrims the last year first place, the second place goes to Roman OK1-31457 and in the third place finishes Jorge EA0021SWL.

In the next page you will found the complete results table and the operator list. At the end of the results tables you will be able to read what the participants wrote in their SOAPBOX: DX QRM!!

Next year rules will be published soon on the ARI website. No rules change is planned for next year.

The “ARI International DX Contest” contest could not be the same without the participation of the DX station, so thanks to all for participating!
